    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Watt officially announced her retirement in 2023 after leaving the Chicago Red Stars in 2021 and was a free agent for two years before announcing her retirement. However, before that, the now 33-year-old is best known for her time with the Houston Dash, where she finished a five year spell as the club’s all-time leading appearance leader. That feat was later eclipsed by Jane Cambell in 2023 but Campbell admitted that Watt would always be Mrs. Houston after the fact.
